The ground rules, in plain language.

1. Accepting these terms

By accessing or using Watchlogue, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If the law where you live requires parental consent for a minor to use an online service, you represent that you have it.

2. Accounts

Provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may not impersonate another person, reserve a username to prevent someone else from using it, or transfer an account without permission.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of ratings, reviews, biographies, lists, photos, and other original content you submit. You give Watchlogue a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, and display that content only as needed to operate, improve, and promote the service according to your visibility settings.

Do not submit content you do not have the right to use, or content that is unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, invasive of privacy, fraudulent, or designed to harm the service or another person. We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Break the law or infringe another person’s rights through Watchlogue.
• Probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, or bypass security or access controls without written permission.
• Use automated systems to copy substantial portions of the service or its data.
• Upload malware, abuse account features, or interfere with another person’s use.
• Use Watchlogue or third-party movie data to build a competing database without permission.

5. Movie data and streaming availability

Movie, person, image, release, rating, and availability information comes from third parties including TMDB and JustWatch. Data may be incomplete, delayed, or incorrect, and streaming options can change without notice. Watchlogue does not guarantee that a title is available, appropriate, accurate, or offered at a particular price. Confirm important information with the relevant distributor or streaming provider.

6. Watchlogue ownership

Watchlogue’s software, design, branding, interfaces, and original features are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership of Watchlogue or third-party content to you.

7. Service changes and availability

Watchlogue is an evolving service. Features may change, break, move, or be discontinued, and access may be interrupted for maintenance, security, provider outages, or other reasons. We may set reasonable limits to keep the service safe and reliable. We will try to provide notice before material changes when practical.

8. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Watchlogue at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service or others, comply with law, or address a serious or repeated violation of these Terms. You may request account deletion through Support.

9. Disclaimers and limits

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Watchlogue is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Watchlogue will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, opportunities, or goodwill arising from use of the service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so these limits may not apply to you.
